NRN Supports Eynsham Library in Reading Week

The Oxfordshire Libraries have a summer reading challenge each year and this year the theme is 'Story Garden', so to complement this the Nature Recovery Network sent volunteers down to Eynsham library on the afternoon of the 20th of August armed with soil, seeds, trowels and flowers.

Many families came along and were eager to learn about what we do to restore our local meadows and why we do it.

Little fingers shucked seeds and, (with the floors covered), out came the soil! Everyone who came down could leave with their own seeds sown in personalised pots.

Fun was had guessing the names of flowers from the meadows, freshly picked and dried, with giggles at some of the funny names.

Everyone involved had a lovely time and we thank Eynsham Library for having us there.
